Join us in exploring traditional mezcal and its accompanying cuisine in the Sierra Sur.

Includes:

Personalized guide and translation service by a native English speaker Comfortable transportation round trip from Oaxaca city (2 hours each way)
Quick breakfast of antojitos, little local snacks on the road
Cooking class of regional dishes with a cocinera tradicional from Miahuatlán
Enjoying the lunch that we cook
Tasting of mezcal made on site
Visit to a traditional mezcal palenque, learning about the process and history of the mezcal of the region from the family that makes it

You can join an upcoming scheduled experience, click on the event to find out if there are spots available to join us on an adventure! You can sign up until 8:00pm the day before the scheduled outing.
You can begin to book a new experience when there is an open date by writing to us here. We can host 2 different experiences per day.
Mezcouting Experiences are designed for 2-6 participants and are open for travelers from different groups to join. You will see these Experiences marked as Open Outings for 2-6 participants on our Calendar.
We cannot accommodate Experiences for 1 person. You are welcome to join an already scheduled Open Outing or we can schedule a new outing and see if other travelers would like to sign up. Please write to us with any questions you may have!
If you would like a Private Outing for your group only, let us know in your message to us. For groups of less than 4 people this will incur an additional cost of $50 USD/1,000 MXN per person.
We cannot book a new experience with less than 24 hours notice. For best availability consider booking with 5 days anticipation.
